Research Interests:
John Marshall is an oceanographer with broad interests in climate and the general circulation of the atmosphere and oceans, which he studies through the development of mathematical and numerical models of key physical and biogeochemical processes. His key research interests are: general circulation of the ocean, ocean convection and thermohaline circulation, ocean gyres and circumpolar currents, geophysical fluid dynamics, numerical modeling of ocean and atmosphere, and the role of the ocean in climate.
